Coming to AOY this year is beyond an answered prayer experience because it’s indeed a faith trip for me.
Since I came back from AOY 2016, the Lord led me to pray a giant prayer for AOY 2017 that if it’s His will for me to come to AOY 2017, it will be His bill. Also, at one moment, I was praying if the Lord can multiply the four of us from the Philippines last year. Yes! He did answer not just double but it’s 37 of us who came to AOY this year.
Not just that, six of them are my classmate. It’s a faith story for seven of us, as one of our teacher for Friday class did not approve us coming to AOY at first because we will miss her class. So, we prayed for it seriously and the Lord’s answer is to step out in faith and go. A miracle happened, on Tuesday of the week of AOY, the President of the Philippines, President Duterte announced that September 1 is an official public holiday for the whole country, in the Philippines. Amazing! Hence, we didn’t miss the class but instead experienced His grace abound.
Moreover, this is a faith trip for my sister in Christ, Dra. Alexa Tajud. When I was praying for if it’s His will, it’s His bill, indeed He provided. As my PYC family decided that all of the officer’s tickets should be sponsored by PYC to go to AOY this year, this prayer became Alexa’s answered prayer too. Like how the Lord has answered my prayer ahead, my portion of the ticket for PYC was given to her.
AOY 2017 is a great blessing to her as it is her first youth conference ever, and it’s a God-given gift as she is searching for God’s will for her future after she became the Top 1 for the Philippines’ dentist board examination last May 2017.
Praise God! It’s a privilege for both of us as well to be able not just attend AOY 2017 but to testify of God’s goodness for the divine hour in Penang SDA English on the Sabbath.
Last but not least, this AOY 2017 is very personal and beyond blessed experience, because it is held in Penang, Malaysia. Five years ago, I studied there and went through a series of Sabbath problems in a government college for seven months and through it all, the Main Church (Penang SDA English Church) members have been praying and helping me to stand for the Lord. Praise God, that during AOY this year, it was a reunion with them and not merely to meet them but to have prayer sessions and worship together with the whole congregation.
It just gives me a foretaste of heaven for the grand great reunion. In addition to that, both before and after AOY 2017, we are beyond blessed on how God has used the DAHC church members to accommodate us in KL. God is revealed every day throughout this trip and He is adding both Spiritual families and parents for each one of us. All of us can testify that AOY 2017, Malaysia trip is God’s trip indeed.
In Jeremiah 33:3, God has promised, “Call unto me and I will answer, and I will shew thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not.” This testimony is unfinished, God is still doing a lot of surprises and WOW experiences every day. There’s more to this and the blessings are overflowing on and on until He comes again. May this testimony encourage us to pray God-sized prayers and steadfast on our faith until Jesus come.
