The seventh-day Sabbath is a tremendous blessing in itself. No wonder, the Bible reminds us “Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy…” (Exodus 20:8). It’s a memorial of the Biblical Creation Week.
It was written on one of the two table stones, by no other than God’s hand! The hand of the Life Giver and the Life Sustainer. It’s given for our benefit. Our Creator knows the best for our well being.
Let me share about the exquisite Sabbath experience we had in Penang on September 2, 2017.
I’m beyond grateful for the privilege of having the faith trip in Malaysia, particularly the Army of Youth Asia youth conference experience. Pivotal vissicitudes in my life happened there! Kindly read my AOY story: From Broke and Broken to Enriched and Empowered
One day after another escaped hastily since our arrival in Kuala Lumpur on August 29 (until September 1, 2017). It was spiritually fulfilling, and yet, I confess, a bit physically draining. I didn’t care with the obligatory sleep deprivation, as long as my endorphins were overflowing — aftermath of each of the spiritual and social activity we had.
It was such a blessing to have toured around the busy city jungle of Kuala Lumpur, the serene district of Negeri Sembilan where Aenon Health Center (lifestyle center) was located, before we headed to the most populated city island in Malaysia, Penang.
The avalanche of aroma and flavors made my sojourn in those places festive and fun-filled. Details are on my Malaysia faith trip series.
“As we shall work upon the plan of addition, by faith adding grace to grace, God will work upon the plan of multiplication, and multiply grace and peace unto us.” ~ Ellen G. White
Our spiritual father, Ptr. Samuel Casel was invited to speak at Penang English SDA Church (PESDAC). Inspired and blessed to have joined him and my friends: Arieona Ronal, Alexa Tajud, and Cheryl Bulaqui, I went with them for moral support. The seemingly biological sisters were given time to share their personal testimonies of God’s faithfulness (included in the sermon video).
Uncle Sam delivered the message about generosity and humilty, and how God miraculously multiplied the five loaves and two fishes. God is indeed a Great Provider. Moreover, a Great Multiplier!

Dra. Alexa Elaine Tajud, sharing God’s blessings especially on answered prayers. Sabbath witnessing being the Top 1 of the May 2017 Dentist Licensure Examination in the Philippines has been her special ministry.
Sis. Arieona, sharing about absolute reliance and answered prayer. Last year, only three Filipinos were able to attend the AOY. She prayed for 15 delegates this year. God answered it with 37 delegates! Multiplied indeed!
Uncle Sam is a gifted storyteller. But the props prepared by Auntie Maria Tean (Filipina, our quasi-mom in Penang) made it more interesting: a basket with fishes and loaves.

AOY Asia youth conference’s venue is located just the opposite of Penang Adventist Hospital.Joy multiplied! Grateful to Ma’am Michelle Tean, a gifted pianist, who accompanied us to PESDAC with her daughter.
The hour of worship there finished early. We were able to listen to Ptr. Emmanuel Baek’s sermon at the conference when we returned.
God truly multiplies our faith. While we do the effort on addition, working out our faith, He blesses us in many ways.
Just ordinary people
God uses ordinary people
He chooses people just like me and you
Who are willing to do as He commands.
God uses people that will give Him all
No matter how small your all may seem to you
Because little becomes much
As you place it in the Masters hand.
Oh, just like that little lad
Who gave Jesus all he had
How the multitude was fed
With a fish and loaves of bread
What have may not seem much
But when you yield it to the touch
Of the the Master’s loving hand
Then you will understand how
Your life could never be the same.
